The process of healing from depression is a journey. It doesn’t happen overnight. Like any journey, there are moments of frustration and despair as you get a flat tyre, take a wrong turn or drive into a pothole
(yes, they get that big in South Africa!).
But there is also joy in the journey. Those moments when you sit in awe as you watch the beautiful scenery going by, or as you sing along to the music playing on the car radio, or as you pass those road markers which encourage you that it is not too long until you reach your destination, or if they simply remind you of just how far you have come.

Blue is my all time favourite colour! But little did I know that it would come to symbolise more than a decade of my life as I found myself in the depths of Postnatal/Postpartum Depression.
